Hi, I’m Chris.
I’m running for Business Agent to bring a member-first voice to Local 787. I’ll be someone who listens, communicates clearly, and fights to enforce the collective agreement for all members.
I’m a family man and part of a long line of union members. My parents and grandparents have all been part of unions, including Unifor/CAW, CUPW, Steelworkers’ union and Local 27, so union values have always been part of my life.
I was raised to understand the importance of solidarity, representation, and strong union leadership. Those values have shaped how I approach my work and how I support the people around me, and I’m ready to bring that same commitment to serving the members of Local 787.
What I’ll Do
I’ll make transparency and accessibility a priority
Members deserve timely, straightforward information about work opportunities, agreements, benefits, union initiatives, and the issues affecting our trade.
I will be visible, approachable, and responsive, whether that means returning calls, being present at meetings and on job sites, or ensuring members have a clear way to raise concerns and receive answers.
A strong local is built on trust, and trust requires consistent communication and accountability.
I’ll be in your corner—always
I will advocate for stronger work opportunities, safer job sites, and meaningful support for every stage of a member’s career. Too often, members can feel like they are navigating workplace challenges, employment concerns, or career decisions without the clear guidance and backing they should be able to count on from their union. I believe a Business Agent needs to be present, responsive, and willing to support members when it matters most.
That means pushing for fair access to employment, protecting the standards, wages and pension funds our members have earned, and supporting training that keeps members competitive as the industry changes.
From apprentices building their foundation to experienced mechanics planning their future, every member should know that Local 787 is actively working to protect their livelihood, advocate for them, and help them succeed.
